The coronary artery diseas is a condition in which the blood supply to the heart muscle is patially or completely block (Merck 2004)

This condition is almost always due to the buildup of cholesterol and other fatty materials in the wall of a coronary artery. Although sometimes it can be caused by a brith defect or a spasm of an artery.

The most common complications are chest pain and heart attack.

To prevent the development of this disease it is highly recommended to quit smoking, limit the amount of fat to no more than 35% of your diet, lowering high blood pressure, reducing the amount of alcohol consumed(1 or 2 drinks a day is ok), aerobic excersie ( walking, jogging, bycicling).
